When browsing  and adding products to your shopping cart, you will remain in a normal browsing mode. However, to protect your security, the final process of the order is completed in secure mode using SSL (see below). This is one of many steps we take to protect your information, especially your credit card number.

Primo's Gourmet Food Company uses the secure servers of www.appliedi.net, used daily on hundreds of e-commerce web sites.  Our shopping cart automatically accesses the secure server when you arrive at the payment information page of the order process, encrypting your delivery & payment information so that it cannot be read as it travels between your browser and the secure server.  This page will seem to be "slower", but that's due to the encryption taking place. Please be patient.

And finally, credit card data is regularly erased from our server's memory. While we are confident our systems are secure, in the event of a breach, your information will unlikely be available.

Fair Credit Billing Act: 
Under this act, your bank cannot hold you liable for more than $50.00 of fraudulent charges. In the unlikely event that your bank does hold you liable for any of this $50.00, Primo's Gourmet Food Company will cover the entire liability for you. We will cover this liability only if the unauthorized credit-card use resulted through no fault of your own from purchases made at PrimosGourmetFood.com while using the secure server.

Here is the way it works:

In the highly unlikely event that you discover unauthorized charges on your credit card within 60 days of your purchase on PrimosGourmetFood.com, here's what to do:

Promptly contact your credit card company and report the unauthorized charges. You should ask to speak to a representative of the company's fraud department. They can inform you of the company's fraud claim process and determine whether or not to charge you a personal liability fee.

If your credit card company: (a) determines that the charges were fraudulent charges resulting from your online purchase at PrimosGourmetFood.com and (b) holds you liable for any of the unauthorized charges, contact us immediately. For your convenience, you can contact us by e-mail or by mail. In order to help you, we will need the following information:

*Your name
*Daytime phone number
*Billing address
*A copy of the credit card statement in question (please circle fraud charges)
*Proof of your credit card company's fraud determination and liability fee
*A description of the incident
Send e-mail to info@primosgourmetfood.com or mail your letter to our address listed below.
The bottom line is "We'll protect you". For security purposes, our fraud department will confirm your claim. If the fraudulent charges resulted through no fault of your own, we will then credit your credit card up to a maximum of $50 and send you a letter that confirms our reimbursement.
